My wife and I always loved the idea of building a home. We would joke about it, but never considered it becoming a reality. That all changed when we came across a new construction listing and reached out to Lauren and Mike.

Admittedly, we were a little apprehensive at first. As a tradesman, I have been in many homes and businesses where things weren’t done right. The first time we met Lauren and Mike, we knew we were in good hands. They showed us the property and then brought us to see a house they were building. The house was beautiful, and I noticed the quality immediately, from framing to finishing work.

They were easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. We decided to move forward with Lauren and Mike, and we couldn’t be happier with that choice. We really enjoyed the process just as much as the final product. We worked closely with Lauren and Mike to customize the house in almost every aspect: floor plan and layout, windows, paint, trim, kitchen design, flooring, roofing, siding, and everything in between. They were very accommodating, punctual, responsive and communicated well throughout the process. They made our ideas come to life, offered suggestions along the way, and never cut any corners.

We really enjoyed working with a smaller builder because of the intimate experience, excellent quality, and the ability to focus on us and our house. It only took about 7 months from settlement to the day we moved in, which was faster than we ever expected. We have friends who were buying new homes in developments, and it took over two years for them to move in. Some of them are still waiting!

In the end, we not only have a new house, but a home we love and are grateful we got to help design and build. If you’re considering new construction, we couldn’t recommend Mike and Lauren enough. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Mike and Lauren were a pleasure to work with. Their knowledge and expertise was evident throughout the whole building process. Mike and Lauren handled everything from acquiring the land, getting all the building permits and dealing with everything up through the final closing. Mike and Lauren were easy to work with through the whole building process while constantly adjusting to different, custom requests while staying on time.

They were able to move walls and closets without having to do any redesigns. We were able to bounce ideas off of them to see what would and would not work, while they offered suggestions on how to improve the house. The experience was outstanding, and we cannot thank them enough.

We met with a few local builders before deciding to work with ML Homes to build our forever home. From the first time we met Mike and Lauren, we felt immediately at ease and excited about partnering together.

Mike and Lauren took their time in sharing the floor plan with us, went over the process/timeline of the actual build and made us feel comfortable and assured that they’d keep us informed along the way. Having one floor plan to work with made us feel less overwhelmed with choosing a design. And we were able to completely customize all of the finishes – both interior and exterior.

Throughout the process, we always felt like we knew what was going on, we had a good handle on the schedule, and were always able to access Mike and Lauren when we had questions throughout the process. Both were also helpful when it came to design details and decisions that needed to be made. We never felt “in the dark” or “on our own” in the process. We are so happy with the finished product. The first floor is open and inviting. And the second story offers a generous master suite that we love so much! Plus, we have space to grow in the future should we choose to finish our basement.

Even after moving in, Mike and Lauren have been accessible and available to address our post-construction needs. We tell all our family and friends what a great experience we had working with a small, local home builder. And we firmly believe that made the difference in the process being smooth and seamless. Mike and Lauren feel more like treasured friends and we are grateful for the experience we had designing our dream home.
